Calm Clear Privacy Policy

Calm Clear is a puzzle game published by Dreki Tafl. This policy explains how the current public Android release handles information.

1. Information handled by Calm Clear

Calm Clear does not require a Dreki Tafl account. The app does not ask you to provide your name, email address, contacts, photos, camera or microphone access in order to play.

Some features use Google services. Google may process information needed to provide those services, as described below and in Google's own privacy documentation.

2. Game information stored on your device

Calm Clear stores game information locally so your progress can continue between sessions. This can include:

  • level progress and best results;
  • Calm Stars, rank progress and daily challenge progress;
  • selected visual skins and local entitlement state;
  • hint counts and game settings such as sound and haptics; and
  • other local gameplay state needed to operate the game.

Clearing the app's storage or using an in-game reset can remove locally stored progress. Some Google Play Games information, such as leaderboard data, is stored by Google and is not removed simply by clearing local app data.

3. Google Play Games Services

Calm Clear can use Google Play Games Services for optional sign-in and leaderboard features. Google may process a Play Games player identifier, profile information, game activity, scores, device information and related service data to provide those features. Dreki Tafl does not operate a separate Calm Clear leaderboard server.

4. Advertising

Calm Clear uses Google AdMob to serve advertising. Depending on your region, consent choices, Google settings and applicable law, ads may be personalised or non-personalised.

The Google Mobile Ads service may process information such as device and app information, IP address, advertising identifiers where available and permitted, approximate location derived from IP address, and ad interaction information for purposes including ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention and compliance.

Dreki Tafl uses Google's consent and privacy messaging tools to collect or honour choices where required, including European regulations and supported US state privacy requirements.

5. Purchases

Optional one-time purchases are processed through Google Play Billing. These can include Remove Ads and Calm Gem packs. Dreki Tafl does not receive or store your payment-card details. The app receives purchase and entitlement information from Google Play so purchased features can be delivered or restored.

6. Device features

Calm Clear may use device vibration or haptic feedback and normal app lifecycle/status-bar functionality to support gameplay. These functions are not used by Dreki Tafl to collect your contacts, photos, microphone recordings or camera data.

7. Sharing and service providers

Dreki Tafl does not sell your personal information. Information may be processed by Google when you use Google Play Games Services, Google Play Billing, Google AdMob or Google's privacy and consent tools. Google's handling of that information is governed by Google's own terms and privacy policies.

8. Retention and deletion

Local game data remains on your device until you reset it, clear app storage or uninstall the app, subject to Android backup/restore behaviour. Google-held information such as Play Games leaderboard data and Google Play purchase records is managed through your Google account and Google Play services.

Dreki Tafl does not maintain a separate Calm Clear account database containing player names, email addresses or payment-card details.

9. Children

Calm Clear is a general-audience puzzle game. It is not designed to collect personal information directly from children. Advertising and Google service behaviour may vary based on age, region and account settings.

10. Security

We minimise the player information we hold directly by keeping core game progress on the device and relying on established platform services for purchases, leaderboards and advertising.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when Calm Clear's features, third-party services or data practices change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
